In Tucson, nurseries are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Arizona, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Check the listing for hours, seasonal closures and Google rating before you go.

Tucson is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tucson follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Just out looking for a New plant and I tried Harlow's. I was impressed by the huge selection. Very nice and clean. Ended up buying three and probably be back for more.

We just happened to pass by this garden center on our way someplace else. Decided to come back to check it out and were pleasantly surprised by how much there was to see! They have a beautiful collection of indoor and outdoor plants, with several specialized areas sorted by habitat. They also had a lovely and large gift shop that seemed to have something for everyone. We will definitely be back.

We love the selection of flowers and plants. When we picked up our TEP trees last summer, they were great about what soil to use, depth, and steps after. Now that it's spring, the pomegranate and desert willow are thriving and bursting with green. In February, we planted blue sage bushes and a climbing Jasper that are doing very well. I've only fried one plant (the purple one behind Faye, I don't even know what it's called) that we bought and I'll have to try again, haha. The staff and selection are great.

This is one plant, a ruffled petunia I bought at Harlows. I have such good experiences with their plants. Seed packets too. I have a nice crop of sweet peas coming up now.

(4/7/2026) Update: I witnessed two employees, wearing blue shirts and watering plants, laughing rudely and talking loudly in front of an elderly lady walking by them. The older lady's expression said it all as she stopped and stared at them in shock and disgust. Bullies? All the other employees I enocountered were very nice to me but I am disheartened by what I witnessed. Why would they do that toward a customer in front of other customers? π¬ β-------------------------------------------------------------- Small hidden garden supply and decor nursery. They carry bird baths, clay pots, ready-to-plant flowers, a gift shop, seed supply, plant food, soil, outdoor decor and more. Very soothing calm atmosphere with very colorful items about. The staff is calm and friendly. Never felt bothered or pressured to purchase something. The plants sell fast so best to buy them when you see them. The prices are a few dollars higher than other big garden retailers but the quality makes up for the price. I always give to the cat donation cup for cat food and cat care at the register.
